Bride Valley Vineyard is just a few miles from the Jurassic coast in the heart of Dorset’s breathtaking Bride Valley.
After a celebrated career in the wine trade, Steven Spurrier founded Bride Valley Vineyard in 2009. Inspired by the clear chalky soil, and fine south facing slopes at his wife Bella’s West Dorset sheep farm, he decided to plant the finest Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier vines – classic Champagne varieties. The first harvest was picked in 2011 and sold out on release in 2014.
Since then, Bride Valley Vineyard has grown, Steven and Bella now have 44,000 vines planted over 25 acres and produce three elegant sparkling wines, created in the traditional Champagne method. A selection of wines are available to buy online from the Bride Valley website, while a wider range can be found on sale locally, nationally and internationally. You can find Bride Valley wines all over the world from Canada to France to Tokoyo and beyond. Check their website for an up to date list of stockists. In 2019, after establishing their sparkling wine varieties, Bride Valley Vineyard launched their first selection of still wines.
Visitors are welcome to visit the Vineyard based in Little Cheney to meet the team and taste the award-winning wines. A number of vineyard tours and tastings are held on selected days throughout the year. Guests can choose between between the Classic Tour or the more deluxe Exclusive Tour and Tasting. Both tours provide ample opportunities to find out more about the wine industry and of course to sample the latest wines! Tours are conducted on a pre-book basis, more details are available on the website. To book a tour or tasting or to find out more about what the day entails, please call or email.
