White Pepper Cookery School has over 40 recreational one day and evening cookery courses, together with 3 & 4 week professional culinary training for aspiring chefs and food entrepreneurs. Our professional courses are internationally recognised by the Confederation of Tourism & Hospitality and are taught in small class sizes by qualified chef tutors.
Since launching in 2010 in two disused horticultural buildings, White Pepper Cookery School is now a leading UK Chef Academy with a truly international appeal – around 35% of our pupils visit us from overseas.
The multi award-winning school attracts students of all levels, from keen foodies and amateur home cooks, to those who want to launch a career in food and set up their own business or become a chef. Awards include the UK Cookery School of the Year 2018 and being voted Britain’s Favourite Small Cookery School.
Our recreational courses are for real foodies and home cooks and run twice a week throughout the year. Our professional training consists of 3 step Bronze, Silver and Gold training that prepares students for the commercial kitchen and to realise their dreams. All of these are accredited with internationally recognised culinary qualifications.
With a good mixture of ingredients from local producers and fresh herbs from the garden, we are inspired by food and aim to educate others not only about cooking but also about where ingredients are sourced from. We actively work in close partnership with Dorset Food & Drink to promote members’ products and support local food and drink producers who have their roots in Dorset.
We hold cookery demonstrations at local food festivals and put on exclusive networking events for members. A great chance to meet like-minded producers and sellers with a passion for local food. We are keen to showcase members’ stories and products online, so if you have an interesting story to share then get in touch.
