D’Uberville Vineyard wins big at IEWA

The team at D’Urberville Vineyard have had a lot to celebrate this year and are pleased to round off 2021 with Gold awards for both their Extra Brut and Rose sparking wines. The IEWA, the International English Wine Awards, is an annual event that sees vineyards from around the country coming together and celebrating the incredible offers from English wine makers.

This year’s competition saw a total of 69 producers and 155 wines participating, with 119 medals being award, 17 of which were Gold awards.

Speaking about the event, Liam Steevenson, one of the judges, said: “This year, unsurprisingly, the quality was better than ever and it felt to me that we awarded more Silver and Gold medals, as quality wine followed quality wine, underlining the exciting and evolving state of the English Wine Industry today.

The Trophy Winners, including D’Uberville Extra Brut 2016, were truly world class, I will be seeking them out for my cellar for sure.”

D’Uberville Vineyard had two of their products win Gold Medals, with the Extra Brut winning a trophy.
