During the lockdown, many of us have resorted to having food delivered to us rather than venturing out to shops and while cafes and restaurants are closed, but what about those of us with special dietary requirements? That’s where Christine’s bright idea comes in.
Christine, who you might know from Christine’s Puddings, has come up with the Gluten Free Hub, an online source of all kinds of gluten free products making them much more accessible to those that need them, while continuing to support local food producers in Dorset.
Speaking on the website, Christine said: “At this challenging time we wish all our friends and customers well and hope that they are keeping safe. Some of them aren’t able to get out to buy their favourite homemade food products, so we’re here to help you source delicious, tried and tested gluten free food and make it more accessible for you! The hub is also helping producers who would normally sell to delis, cafes or at food festivals but have been unable to do so because of lockdown.”
The Gluten Free Hub has a wide range of producers offering their products for sale, as well as having gluten free take away options and ideas for gluten free recipes to try out at home. Ordering from the hub is easy, browse the products in the online shop and then either call or email the producer directly to place your order. You can then pay over the phone and arrange either a delivery or a collection – it’s that easy!
