In response to the outbreak of Covid-19, the Government has announced support schemes for small businesses. In Dorset, the administration of this will be undertaken by Dorset Council. These funding schemes that have been announced include a Small Business Grant and a Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grant.
The Small Business Fund is for those that already pay little or no business rates because of Small Business Rate Relief, Rural Rate Relief and tapered relief. It provides a one-off payment to eligible businesses. The Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grant provides businesses working within these industries with a cash payment per property. The size of the grant depends on the value of the business.
