MAJU is a scenic glamping site offering an array of rustic hospitality and event experiences, carving the way to pioneer ‘something unique’ for guests to enjoy. The founders conjured up this bohemian heaven by finding a gap in the market for block patterned canvas bell tents, which are designed in-house and kitted out with bespoke interiors, (soon to be on sale on their website).
The site is set upon a farm on the Devon-Dorset boarder in Axminster featuring rolling hills and sea views on a clear day, surrounded by 300-acres of Trinity Hill Woodland which will become their creative playground for their pop-up events. Only 9 minutes’ drive away from the jewel of the Jurassic Coast Lyme Regis and a vast choice of coastline beaches at reach, this glampsite is in an ideal location for those who want to explore and enjoy the exciting events MAJU has on offer.
The flagship MAJU Glampsite will be welcoming glampers for the first time in 2021, along-side locals who will have access to live. music, forest feasts cooked over an open fire and an on-site woodland bar supplied by Lyme Regis Brewery. The 3-course immersive feast is set in a theatre of a 300-acre ancient woodland, taking you on a nomadic journey where their Michellin-star trained chefs, Ben Thompson of Pit and Plate and Bruce Watson of Feast Alba will show off their asado cooking techniques, creating a melting pot of flavours straight from the local larder.
In this same magical location, Will and The People, an electrifying folk band with undertones of reggae, will leave you on a feel-good high after their lively performance on the 14th August 2021. The fun doesn’t stop here, MAJU also promises local live bands every weekend to accompany their woodland bar and street food, making it the perfect summer evening plan. They also offer on-site yoga lessons and life drawing classes in their communal marquee for guests to book.
Co-founder Liberty says, ‘We want to bring the community together, by creating a platform for guests and locals to enjoy’. Running through the months of July and August, MAJU Glamping will be the place to hang out for any local this summer.
