Dorset Museum is taking part in this year’s Heritage Open Days festival, England’s largest festival of history and culture, offering free entry on 12th September.
Visitors can take advantage of free entry as part of the yearly festival, which this year has a real focus on food and drink.
Dorset Museum recently underwent a huge refurbishment and visitors will be able to see the new galleries and interactive displays as well as a chance to explore behind the scenes of the new Collections Discovery Centre where there will be a chance to find out more about the ongoing work in moving the museum’s collection back to the site. As part of Heritage Open Days’ Edible England theme, the museum will have a display in the Conservation Studio which features various objects relating to food and drink through the ages.
Spaces on the museum tour will be limited to comply with Covid safety measures, so please book online.
