Dorset Food and Drink (DF&D), the organisation passionate about promoting local food and drink producers in Dorset to consumers and corporations alike are pleased to announce that NFU Mutual Wessex is to continue to sponsor them, offering their members a personal, friendly and local service for their insurance, pension and investment requirements.

Manager at Dorset Food and Drink, Tom Munro, said: “Dorset Food and Drink is absolutely delighted to be sponsored for another year by NFU Mutual Wessex. We are pleased that the company values the work of DF&D members and recognises the importance of the food, drink and hospitality sector in Dorset.”

Caz Richards, Dorset Food and Drink’s Co-ordinator, agreed. She said: “We look forward to working with NFU Mutual Wessex at our producer ‘pop up’ markets and having such a valuable resource available, especially in the current climate, as we adapt to new ways of working and doing business. We are waking up to the fact that we cannot go back to ‘pre-COVID’ ways; instead, using the pandemic as a springboard to accelerate the sustainability of the food, drink and hospitality sector.”

Over the last few months, DF&D has been working closely with NFU Mutual Wessex and its members to help them explore ways to adapt their businesses and to promote their services throughout lockdown.

Simon Hedges, Partner at NFU Mutual Wessex, said: “We are proud to continue our sponsorship of DF&D as their member businesses are vital to the food, drink and hospitality industry in Dorset. We are dedicated to building valuable, long-term relationships and supporting them during these extraordinary times. We have a strong tradition of providing insurance, financial planning and risk management services for Dorset’s food and drink businesses and pride ourselves on our knowledge and expertise in this sector.”
