After the uncertainty of the last few years, it was amazing to see so many people enjoying themselves at this year’s Athelhampton Christmas Fair which saw just over 1,500 people attend!
With everything that we have experienced with the pandemic we loved being able to get everyone back together and indulge in some festive fun. Over the course of the weekend, 1,500 visited Athelhampton House to stock up on delicious treats, raising over £300 for local charities. It was a chilly weekend, but that just added to the festive atmosphere and there was plenty of mulled wine to keep everyone warm as they browsed and sampled the incredible local delicacies that Dorset has to offer.
The Dorset Food and Drink raffle, which included prizes donated by our members, raised a total of £335 which will be shared between local food banks serving the Weymouth, Poole, Dorchester and Blandford areas, which will hopefully allow more families to have a stress free Christmas.
A huge thank you to everyone who visited and supported our members and local producers by coming along, shopping, eating and generally getting into the Christmas spirit, here’s to a return to more regular events featuring all your favourites in the coming year! Keep an eye on our events for the latest dates.
