A Little More About Basia

Basia’s love of baking began at home in Poland, where she learned the craft alongside her mother, who baked daily for their family. After moving to the UK in 2016, she joined the renowned Leakers Bakery in Bridport, where she refined her skills and began developing her own recipes.

While raising her family, Basia continued to nurture her passion for baking, and in April 2024 she founded The Flower Bakery. What started as a small venture making special occasion cakes has flourished into a thriving local business producing everything from breads and pastries to cakes and cookies. In less than a year, Basia has supplied local farm shops, baked for large events, and earned commendations at food festivals.

For Basia, baking is more than a business – it’s a lifelong passion and a way to share joy with her family, friends, and community.
