Renowned as one of the most prestigious honours in the wine and spirits industry, the IWSC celebrates the finest craftsmanship in winemaking.

IWSC Awards 2025 Results
The IWSC Awards 2025 results are out and we are incredibly proud to announce that Langham Wine Estate has been awarded medals for its full range of sparkling wines. Blanc de Blancs NV received a Gold medal, Corallian Classic Cuvee NV, Culver Classic Cuvee NV, Pinot Noir 2019 and Blanc de Blancs 2017 in magnum took Silver, and a Rose NV took Bronze.
 
Langham Wine Estate’s achievement of a gold medal in this year’s International Wine & Spirit Competition, surpassing last year’s results, marks a significant milestone for the Dorset winery.

Langham Wine Estate Blanc de Blancs NV Extra Brut – IWSC Gold, 95 points
Securing a prestigious IWSC Gold medal and an impressive 95 points, the judges praised its “elegant aromas of honeysuckle and pear blossom” layered over “notes of russet apple and cob nuts.” The wine’s vibrant palate brimmed with a “defined English orchard fruit, refreshing acidity, and a well-integrated creamy character,” culminating in a “refreshing, long-lasting golden apple finish.”
This accolade celebrates Langham’s dedication to crafting exceptional, low-intervention sparkling wines from their Dorset vineyards.
 
Langham Wine Estate Culver Classic Cuvée NV Extra Brut – IWSC Silver, 93 points
Langham Wine Estate’s latest offering captivated the judges at the International Wine & Spirit Competition, earning high praise for its exceptional quality.
 
The IWSC panel, described the wine as having “an enchanting nose of English meadow flowers, apple, and quince, followed by compelling sourdough layered with walnut and a vibrant mousse.”
 
They lauded its “mineral precision and delightful autolytic character,” noting a “refreshing finish” that underscores Langham’s mastery in crafting low-intervention sparkling wines from their Dorset vineyards.
 
Langham Wine Estate Pinot Noir 2019 Brut Nature – IWSC Silver, 92 points
The team secured a notable IWSC Silver medal and 92 points at the International Wine & Spirit Competition. Judges John Hoskins MW, Kelly Stevenson, Rebecca Palmer, and Luke Harbor commended its “bruised apple and violet” aromas, followed by a “palate bursting with wild strawberry and milk chocolate.” They highlighted the wine’s “rich texture and precise acidity,” with a “bright, long, and beautifully incisive finish.”
This recognition underscores Langham’s skill in crafting low-intervention, terroir-driven sparkling wines.
 
Langham Wine Estate Blanc de Blancs 2017 Magnum Brut Nature – IWSC Silver, 91 points
Praising the wine for “attractive frangipani aromas” mingling with “sourdough and golden apple.” The judges described it as having a “vibrant palate of lemon curd and pear tart” leading to a “plush, slightly floral finish” that highlights its English orchard character. Dorset in a glass.
 
Langham Wine Estate Corallian Classic Cuvée NV Extra Brut – IWSC Silver, 90 points
The Extra Brut impressed at the IWSC, with judges noting its “wood spice and cedar” aromas blending with “dried fruit.” The “richly textured palate of apple skin and shortcake” leads to a “taut, saline finish,” showcasing its bold Extra Brut style. Langham Wine Estate Rosé NV Extra Brut – IWSC Bronze, 89 points
Judges highlighted its “subtle forest berries” on the nose, followed by a “palate of spiced red apple and raspberry” with “a touch of creaminess” on the finish.
 
Head Winemaker Tommy Grimshaw of Langham Wine Estate credits the team’s collective effort for their success at the International Wine & Spirit Competition, where they secured a gold medal alongside other top accolades. He remarked, “These results reflect the dedication of our entire team, from part-time vineyard staff to management. Every member has shaped these wines, and winning these awards is a fitting reward for the hard work at our Dorset estate.”
