Bored of the same old salsa? Add blueberries, you’ll be surprised how well they go with the classic ingredients and how easy it is to make!
Ingredients:
1 large tomato, quartered
¼ onion, cut into large pieces
½ jalapeno chili
1 garlic clove
1 punnet of blueberries
1 handful of coriander leaves
juice of one lemon
Sea salt to taste
For extra crunch why not add some peppers and sweetcorn?
Why not grab some Dorset grown chillis to use in your salsa – find some here. You can also get some locally produced sea salt and of course, you can find locally grown berries, tomatoes, onions and garlic at our many farmshops.
Method:
Start off by preparing the veg, decide whether you plan to deseed your chilli at this stage.
Add the tomato, onion, chili and garlic into a food processor and pulse until chunky. Add the blue berries and lemon juice and pulse until mixture is salsa like. Season with salt to your taste and garnish with the coriander.
Cover and chill until ready to eat.
