Nestled in the heart of Beaminster, Clipper Teas have been brewing up a storm for 40 years, and what better way to celebrate than with a special Dorset-inspired pack? This isn’t just any tea; it’s a tribute to four decades of ethical and sustainable tea production, right here in the beautiful county of Dorset.
Clipper Teas, a proud B Corp brand under Ecotone UK, has unveiled a stunning new design for their food service operators. This eye-catching pack is a love letter to Dorset, featuring iconic landmarks like Durdle Door and Portland Bill. Each teabag in the 250-count box is plant-based, biodegradable, and unbleached, all wrapped up in fully recyclable packaging. It’s a tea lover’s dream come true!
Adam Perry, Clipper Teas’ Head of Out of Home at Ecotone UK, couldn’t contain his excitement: “This has been an eagerly anticipated launch for the whole team and one we’re immensely proud of as a Dorset-born brand. Despite operating on a global scale, we choose to remain in the county where we were founded. This is something we’re incredibly passionate about as it allows us to continue boosting the local economy. Our message as a brand is to showcase what goes into making a ‘good’ cup of tea, our Fairtrade sourcing and B Corp certification being a true testament to this. And what better time to launch a blend that celebrates our heritage than on our 40th birthday.”
Since 1984, Clipper has been a pioneer in the world of ethical and sustainable tea. From their factory in Beaminster, they blend and pack a wide variety of organic and Fairtrade teas, from everyday blends to green tea and infusions. As Fairtrade’s first and longest-standing tea partner, Clipper exports its products to over 50 countries worldwide.
The Dorset Classic Everyday pack will be available across regional food service touchpoints such as hotels and offices, supplied via Clipper’s regional foodservice wholesale partners. This new pack not only commemorates Clipper’s Dorset heritage but also offers local businesses a chance to stock a product that celebrates the timeless beauty of Dorset, appealing to both tourists and locals alike.
Clipper Teas has always been a trailblazer, being the first in the world to launch a plastic-free, non-GM, plant-based, and unbleached heat-sealed teabag. They’ve even invested £1 million in a new production line to remove plastic packaging across larger packs.
So, here’s to 40 years of Clipper Teas – a brand that’s as committed to its roots as it is to the future.
Cheers to many more cups of ethically sourced, delicious tea!
