The Dorchester Brewing and Distilling Celebration will take place from 18th until 20th February and will focus on celebrating the town’s past of brewing and distilling with a series of events held at numerous venues over the town.
The celebration is being supported by a number of local organisations including us at Dorset Food and Drink. We’ve teamed up with the organisers of the Dorchester Brewing and Distilling Celebration and Fordington Gin to bring you Drinks in the Clink – an evening of drinks and discovery being held at Shire Hall Museum.
While you explore the cells beneath the historic building, you can find the perfect botanicals to add to your drinks and the chance to talk to Ros Nelmes, the creator of Fordington Gin, for her expertise on all things gin.
Fordington Gin, created in the heart of Dorset, brings you London Dry Gin with a special and uniquely magical twist. Its contemporary Dorset Gin, brings a taste that is gentle and distinctive in flavour.
Another aspect of the celebration is this year’s Dorchester Beerex which takes place every February and raises money for local charities while celebrating everything good about Dorset beers! The Dorchester Beerex returns on 4th and 5th February and tickets are available now from here.
