Dorset’s Afternoon Teas one of England’s best

This week is Afternoon Tea Week and to celebrate, Lottie, a care home and retirement living organisation has taken on the challenge to find Britain’s best destination for an Afternoon Tea. After conducting nationwide research, Dorchester in Dorset has been named as one of the top ten locations in England for afternoon tea.

According to Lottie, the Afternoon Tea on offer in Dorchester comes 7th in their list with an overall score of 7.73 out of 10.  Notably missing from the list are places in Cornwall and Devon who often claim to be the best when it comes to scones, cream and tea while there are no places from Bedfordshire, where the Afternoon Tea is said to have been invented.

  • Belpar, Derbyshire
  • Totnes, Devon
  • Carlisle, Cumbria
  • Llandudno, Conwy
  • Rye, Sussex
  • Dorchester, Dorset
