About Us:

Purbeck Chocolate: Beautiful Bars of Brilliance
Nestled on a picturesque farm overlooking the iconic Corfe Castle in the rolling Purbeck hills of Dorset, Purbeck Chocolate crafts hand-made bars that are as stunning as their surroundings.

Each bar is created using single origin Ecuadorian chocolate—sourced from one of the world’s most renowned cacao regions, where the legendary “Nacional” or “Arriba” cocoa beans are grown. These beans are celebrated for their rich, complex flavours and are the result of generations of Ecuadorian farmers perfecting their cultivation, fermentation, and drying techniques.

Family owned and ethically led, the Purbeck team has been making award-winning, entirely natural Purbeck Ice Cream for over 30 years. With this expertise and a shared passion for fine foods, it was a natural progression to venture into the world of chocolate.

The idea had been brewing for years, but it was the Covid lockdowns of 2020, and the resulting drop in ice cream sales—that finally inspired the team to take the plunge. Creating chocolate not only kept the talented team together during quieter winter months, but also brought a new dimension to the family business.
The second-generation team set out to find the very best single origin Ecuadorian chocolate to craft these bars of brilliance.

Why Purbeck Chocolate? With a dedicated team all based on the farm, making award-winning Purbeck Ice Cream and Purbeck Cider, it made perfect sense to keep the family name for their latest delicious creation.

Purbeck Chocolate is passionate about making the vision of sustainable cocoa a reality. Every step of the process is managed with care and respect for both people and the planet:

Ethically Managed & Sustainably Produced – Only totally natural ingredients are used, with a strong commitment to ethical sourcing.

Eco-Friendly Packaging: All packaging is fully recyclable and sourced from British suppliers.
