How to use up your left over Easter chocolate | Tiffin

While it is highly unlikely that you’ll have any chocolate left over after Easter, if you do, here are some ideas to help you use it up! These work for all varieties of chocolate, including dairy-free, vegan and gluten-free varieties, so everyone can join in.

We’ve come up with a variety of recipes to help you use up your Easter chocolate, starting with this Tiffin recipe.

Ingredients:

150g butter
50g golden syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
520g chocolate
150g salted pretzel sticks
100g cereal, a shredded wheat style cereal works best.
100g raisins
100g peanuts

Grab some Dorset cereals and nuts here and if you fancy making this and you don’t have any Easter eggs, you can get chocolate from here.

Method:

Start off by lining a round cake tin, leave it to the side.

Add butter and golden syrup to a large saucepan and heat gently. Once melted, add the vanilla extract and all the chocolate, continue heating until the chocolate has melted and all the ingredients are combined.

Remove the pan from the heat, mix through the pretzels, cereal, raisins and peanuts.

Tip the mixture into the tin and chill for an hour.

Once solid, remove from the tin and cut into pieces to serve.
