As Christmas creeps closer, get into the spirit with some home made mulled wine. This easy recipe is boozy and very tasty!
Ingredients:
750ml bottle red wine
1 large cinnamon stick
2 star anise
4 cloves
2 strips of lemon zest
4 tbsp caster sugar
100ml gin
Get your wine from here and your gin here.
Method:
Put the red wine, cinnamon, star anise, cloves, lemon zest and sugar in a large pan. Cook on a low heat for around 10 minutes.
Remove from the heat and cool. Leave to infuse for around 30 minutes.
When ready to serve, heat, but don’t boil. Stir in a glug of gin and pour into heatproof glasses.
