Pancakes aren’t for everyone though – so if you’re puzzled about pancakes, here’s our handy guide to creating the perfect crepes.

Pancakes are as easy as 1, 2, 3…

Not sure how to make the perfect pancake? Just remember 1, 2, 3. You just need 100g plain flour, 2 eggs and 300ml milk – that’s it! Once you’ve made your batter you can freeze it for another time or just get it in a frying pan and start flipping!

How do you like yours?

Do you have a sweet tooth or are you more of a savoury person? The brilliant thing about pancakes is that you can flavour each one differently! More than 50% of the UK like to go classic with a bit of lemon and sugar, but the possibilities are endless. Why not add a little pesto and then fill with cheese, peppers or caramelised onions for a savoury twist? Or you could add some chocolate chips for a melt in the middle surprise. Why not grate in a little ginger or add berries into the batter while you’re cooking for something that is spicy, sweet and sharp?

Vegan or gluten free?

You don’t have to miss out on pancake day!

Swap out the flour for a gluten free option to make them suitable for anyone with an intolerance. You can even make a vegan or dairy free version by swapping the milk for a plant based option and substituting the eggs for mashed banana, flax seeds or just a bit of oil.

Pick up some Fluffets eggs or some milk from one of these dairies and have a delightfully Dorset pancake day.
