Seasonal foods to look out for this February

One of the best things about sourcing local produce is the chance to try fresh, seasonal flavours. In Dorset, we’re lucky because the majority of our producers and farmers are committed to only providing food and drink that is in season. Here is everything you should look out for when shopping for ingredients in February.

Vegetables:

Brussel Sprouts, cauliflower, celeriac, kale, leeks, parsnips, potato, shallots, swede, turnips

Fruit:

Rhubarb

Poultry:

Turkey

Game and Meat:

Guinea Fowl, hare, partridge, venison

Seafood and Shellfish

Clams, cockles, dab, gurnard, haddock, halibut, hake, langoustine, lobster, mackerel, mussels, oysters, mullet, salmon, scallops, skate, turbot and winkles.
