On Friday 24th September, Symondsbury Estate is hosting a magical Festival Supper and torchlight walk to experience Inside Out Dorset’s awe-inspiring Gaia in the woods. The Festival Supper features artwork from Inside Out Dorset, a free outdoor arts festival that promises extraordinary experiences in extraordinary places. With a mouth-watering menu that’s filled with Estate grown and locally sourced produce, the Festival Supper is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a real taste of Dorset.
The supper will be followed by a torchlight walk to experience the awe-inspiring Gaia in the woods, as part of the Inside Out Dorset arts festival. Measuring seven metres in diameter, Luke Jerram’s Gaia features 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the Earth’s surface. This huge artwork provides the opportunity to experience our planet like never before. A specially made surround sound composition by BAFTA award winning composer Dan Jones is played alongside the sculpture.
The festival supper will be served under the estate’s new glazed pergola, overlooking Manor Yard and the wider landscape.
There are three seating options:
Inside – The Green Room, Symondsbury Kitchen, leading off the pergola, or The Old Pottery, set behind the pergola or,
Out- under the heated pergola festooned with lights.
