Dorset Star Cider is produced from our family owned orchard on the outskirts of Dorchester.

Every batch is created using traditional methods and the very best cider apples from our orchard, each brew is free from additives to create a range of drinks that we think gives the consumer an opportunity to really ‘Taste The Orchard’.

According to our chief cider maker, Dan Green: “There is a craft cider for everyone. The fun bit is finding out which one you enjoy the most and our mission is to create a range of craft ciders to satisfy every palette.”

Since launching in 2014, Dorset Star Cider has won numerous awards and has a range of cider varieties. Popular brews include First Press, a dry farmhouse style cider and Stargazer, our most popular medium style cider with lots of fruity notes. As well as focusing on creating incredible tasting cider, our site also has a taproom, where you can taste the ciders following a tour of the orchard and a shop where you can buy a bottle or two! Tours include meals to complement the cider using our home grown and other local produce.
Recently, we also installed several bespoke Shepherd’s Huts in the heart of the orchard offering a unique holiday destination for the whole family. The ‘Orchard Retreat’ is a great place for our guests to come and unwind and enjoy the very best of what Dorset has to offer, plus being based near Dorchester means that you’ll have plenty of places to explore and you’re in the right place for sampling some of that famous West Country Cider!
