Russell and Debbie, the passionate duo behind the Bumblebee Cottage, have drawn inspiration from years spent living in the Mediterranean, where they even learned Spanish along with their travels to favourite destinations including North Africa and the Caribbean.
These experiences shaped their deep love of bold, vibrant flavours, which they have brought back home and infused into everything they create.
Their journey began in Cornwall, where Bumblebee Cottage, a characterful 300‑year‑old home, still stands today.
More recently, they have settled in Bridport, where their Chilli Farm is now based and continues to grow.
Today, the business offers an exciting range of handcrafted chilli-based products, including sauces, pickles, preserves and ketchups.
Each product features their own home-grown, pesticide-free, hand-picked chillies, with many recipes inspired by their travels and brought to life through both flavour and playful, witty names.
The range caters for all tastes from super mild to seriously hot, with something for everyone in between.
During the growing season, fresh chillies are also available for wholesale. Russell and Debbie are always experimenting with new ideas, often sparked by their latest adventures.
For them, this is more than just a business – it’s a true passion.
